Ok so i have turned it up half a flat for like 3 months now but ive been thinking on it and i dont tow or carry any loads so i think that i could max out my ip and be safe with it with my pyro now in the truck what you guys think and would i notice a signifigant gain and how much smoke dont wana look like i just like to blow black thnks and also ive forget was it turn toward the rear of the truck or front to increase fueling
It all depends on what your pyro says, if you don't go over 1200* your engine will be fine. Maxing out the screw out will result in excess black smoke. There is no reason to max out a IP screw though unless you are boosting really high intercooled or something. Do you have a turbo??
Having the fuel up 1 flat should be enough for that turbo, but if you turn it up more - start by another flat. Maxing out IP's gives them a shorter life.

Being un-loaded, or heavily loaded doesn't matter. Your EGT's are your indicator.
Is it the factory Ford turbo made by ATS....or the aftermarket ATS kit?
If it's aftermarket, then I believe somebody should have the fuel screw turned up a bit already, to match the amount of air coming from the turbo.
And I remember form another thread you said you have put your EGT gauge on 1400 a couple times....
Where is your pyro probe located? In the exhaust manifold, in the up-pipe before the turbo, after the turbo?
From my reading, the general rule of thumb is to add 300 degrees to the reading if your pyro is located after the turbo, that will give you cylinder temperature, or at least close to it...
Banks has a downpipe upgrade for the factory system. Its the same size - just not smashed, I think coal has one on his. Call banks and they will tell you if they still have it and the $$ for it.
Gosh dude, must you attack every post of mine, lol. From what I have read, I am sure 1 flat was 1/4 a turn. I could be wrong but that's what I concluded from reading.
