Hi John
You might measure the bolt pattern - I think you'll find them to be 5 on 5 1/2" (meaning 5 bolts on a 5 1/2" diameter pattern, center to center) Ford used these 15" wheel patterns for decades - at least from the 40's until the mid 90's.
Also Dodge and Jeep for some years as well.
One small picky point that will help when you look for parts - if you have a 1945 (which is rare unless military) it is just designated as a half-ton and not an F1. Ford began the F series with the 1948 model year.
How large is the center opening? And what bolt pattern do you have?
I've always thought that the 42-47's were the same as the later ones with 5 on 5 1/2". I thought the last of the wide bolt pattern wheels were on the '35 models.
