I've done searches but cannot find an online Ford dealer that has a fuel valve assembly listed in their parts. My local dealer has one in stock for about, ok, sit down, $400.00. You read that right.
The aftermarket valve selectors are around $100.00, but one eBay site said they aren't compatible with PS.
Am I up a creek and have to go with my dealer? Or does someone know where to get cheaper?
Ford part number is E5TZ9189B. Depending what year your truck is the electrical connector may have to be modified slightly. Available at both sponsor links at the top of this page.
Thanks pjwoolw. My eyes must be going. I sure don't see any sponsors at the top of my page. There are a couple of ads, one for chevy, the other for upgrades. The Vendors tab gives all sorts, but didn't find the part there.
My truck is a 97 F250 4wd PSD extended cab long bed. I did a search on the part number you gave and got a hit for ebay, but no pics. I want to make sure this is not for the E series.
I did finally locate a site that actually gave a parts diagram per my VIN and located their fuel valve. It looks the same per their diagram. They're showing part # **TZ-9189-A, replaced by **3Z-9189-A for $201.25. How convenient of them not to give the first two letters of the part #. At least it's half the cost of my local dealer, but UPS is $45. Beggars can't be choosers.
I did find a 2006 dated thread here that states the last letter in the part # is A= 3 port valve and B= 6 port valve. Mine has six ports. Now I don't know if the above part is correct. Guess I'll have to make some phone calls on Monday to verify before I order.
