tire inflation question
I have a 96 ford explorer sport with 235's on it and i am trying to figur out what should the tire pressure be right now i went by the door sticker it says 26 but the ride is very soft wnat doesn't seem to respond all that wll. any ideas?

32 psi cold will keep you safe. 26 psi on the door and in tire guides translates to 24, 22, 20 psi for those that don't bother to check their air at least a minimum of once every two weeks. With low air pressure it will wear the tire on both sides( under inflation wear). This has been proven to cause tires to decap and cause damage and even death, hence the firestone recall acouple of years back. Ford dodged a bullet with that one.
