That song was written by Albert Hammond, and Mike Hazelwood. It was recorded by Albert Hammond. The Beach Boys may have done a cover of it, on a TV show, but I have over 40 Beach Boys albums , and it is not in any one of those albums!

A couple of you guys have asked about pics on my truck so here is one from today.
Just doing all the things I've forgotten and hooking up all the little stuff, bleeding brakes etc.
Turned her over with no spark the other day, all good.
When I get her fired up it's over to the paint shop for a bit of cleaning up ( see lower left how top of fenders are nasty ). Think I'll have them pull the front clip and sex 'er up a bit.

Looks an awful lot like my engine.. same color scheme... I love those valve covers! I did the flat black on the inner fenders also, I kind of wish I had done it in gloss black though as it is easier to keep clean! Oh well I can always redo it.. it was just so easy without an engine to contend with... Welll git 'er done!

My son talked me into the flat black, but I saw one with the gloss black, and it made the engine shine like a jewel in a jewelry box!
