Question 1960 Wipers

Hi : I have a 1960 Ford F250 that has factory vacuum wipers. I would like to convert them to electric wipers . Does anyone know if this is possible and how easy or difficut it is to do ? I have seen photos of 1960 s with both types of wipes. So I was thinking it would be easy to convert them.
Just not sure if the shafts and arms will be the same set up..

Thanks In Advance ..Fred

I know of one way--probably the most expensive unfortunately--but I bought a Elect Wiper Conversion Kit from Sacramento Vintage Ford a couple years back and it works OK. I don't drive in the rain all that much--my hot rod etc--but so far it works OK whenever i try. But is it better than other kits etc? I have no idea. There may be less expensive or better stuff out there.

But give their stuff a look p/n 8192-1 1956-60 $175.

By the way I should have mentioned that you need to have some OEM "control arms"--or whatever they're called--the connectiong rod aparatus under the dash that connects from the motor to each seperate wiper and all. I don't know--but I would suppose those rods might be the same whether one has OEM elecric or OEM vacuum. You'll have to check out that aspect of all.
