Idle
The idle on my 92 f150 with a 5.0 wont kick down it feels like it is at 2000 when sitting at a light, could it be the idle intake sensor, water temp keeps going up while at the light and sucking gas

Usually the IAC(Idle Air Control) tells the computer to increase Idle (IF) The PCM receives input from the Coolant Temp Sender if the Engine is overheating.
I dont know the condition of the motor. You should pull codes 1st. Then post back with them and we can help you diagnose the problem in the detail.
