I just became a proud new owner of a 2008 F250 PSD XLT, and am ready to start making it my own. However i am relativly new to Diesel and a F250. I was wondering if anyone would have some advice for me on what i shloud do first and where I should go from there. Also i bought the truck with a Leer 700 series tonneau cover that i really dont need, kind of just gets in the way for what i need a truck for, any thoughts on what i can do with it. Thank you.

Welcome to FTE! Congrats on the truck purchase. No real ideas on the tonneau other than Craigslist or local classifieds. You can post it in the FTE classifieds after you have achieved 25 posts or if you're a Club member but it can't be sold or advertised in the general forums.
After you finish the owner's manual, go the 6.4 diesel sub-forum here and read.
Depending how you plan to use the truck, consider airbags (air spring helpers), evaluate tires (what you do depends on application.), Bilstein shocks are a must, also consider dual steering stabilizer. The truck is old enough that if it still has original batteries, consider replacing them. Better now that during a crisis.
I don't chip my engines, but others do. Beware doing so may interfere with warranty.
Cetane booster in every tank. ULSD is right at the borderline, again, better safe than sorry.
Fluids are critical. Heed the guidance above. More often is better. These trucks like to be worked and driven. They do not like to idle or get hot.
