That is a cab and chassis model for sure, the tires are set way to far back to have been a pickup truck at some point, Looks like it would have had a 10 foot bed on it. Cab and Chassis frames are wider as well if im remembering correctly.
That is a great price. I did not replace my clutch until 230,000 miles....so I am sure the clutch is ok. The motor is just broken in..... I wish it was closer to me. I want it for parts.
Yeah I checked it out... It ran like a dream! No problems mechanically at all. Some rust in cab corners and bottom rear side of the fenders. It was a cab and chassis model. GRRRRRR!!!!!! I can't do anything with that except put a huge flatbed on it... I'd love to own a PSD for that price but there isn't anything I could do with that thing... The only possibility I'd have would be to strip everything off that long frame and dump everything onto one of my older trucks.... Ugh... that would be the biggest PITA ever!
OR!!!! how long is a crew cab??? I measured 85inches from the back of the cab to the center of the rear axle... I know my 1988 is 60in from back of cab to center of the axle... Would it work if I got a crew cab to take up the extra 24-25inches?????
Then again someone else said something about the frame being wider? Would that affect a cc and long bed from being mounted????
I don't think you can put the bigger cab on, because the frame steps up at the back of the cab. Also, the frame narrows right at the same point. The c/c frame rails are 34 inches wide, and the pick-up frames are 37 inches, I believe. It probably has 4.10 gears, and it is the sterling 10.25 like all the other trucks, the 450 had the dana 80, but not the 350. That looks like a nice truck for 2400. I have one just like it with a dump that I am switching to a flat bed for pulling campers also. I would get a bed for it and go, looks like you have plenty of pick-ups.
edit: looked at first page and saw the pics. Well worth the price, wish I had some extra cash around. That's not that far away and I could use that, oh well.
