Question injectors

hi guys
the question I have for you today is....
at what lenght of time or age should the injectors be changed?
Mine are origonal.. and 10 years old.. never been out of the motor.. never had them cleaned...
is it time for new ones??
thanks for any help in advance

no if your motor is running good dont worry about them they run about 400.00 an injector just keep a good fuel additive to keep the lubrication up

Aside from spreading around false information and bringing old-*** posts back up, you can get injectors, remanufactured from $130, and new ones from about $220.

It's usually more mileage related than time. If you have a couple of hundred thousand miles on them, there is probably at least a couple of poppet valves out of spec one way or another. That being said there are a lot of engines that have gone 300,000+ miles on the original injectors. If you don't have any symptoms (typically a engine knock) they are probably ok to continue running, unless you just want to replace them.
