ECU updates
I just bought a 2005 Expy EB 4x4 with 98K miles and did the dreaded plug change. I'm in the process of doing other general maintenance and wondered if anyone has taken their truck into Ford and had any updates done to the ECU/other computer modules. I'm assuming that sometime between 2005 and now there have been some updates. Are any of them important enought to warrant a trip to the dealer? My truck runs like a champ and I am not experiencing any problems, just thought I'd seek some collective wisdom from you guys and gals. Thanks!

For what it's worth i bought a Diablo programmer for my wife's F150 and to be honest it actually helped throttle response a lot, but as far as anything else horsepower fuel economy I noticed a little more power but i can't say if that's because the throttle response was better, but I didn't really care because the truck just seemed better

Oh yes, I forgot the recall on the cruise control that can cause a fire under the hood but other than that I can't think of a good reason to go to the dealer. That recall is a free fix. Good luck with your new truck.
