Dumb question

I know this will be a dumb question. I pulled the engine and transmission from my 2wd 1977 f-150 on the weekend. I set the combo on the floor and proceeded to take off the transmission, but wondering if I'm missing something. I have the bolts out and have a gap of about an inch but dosen't seem to budge anymore. Is there bolts inside the inspection cover or torque converter bolts. Too fried to think right now.

Yep. Gotta unbolt (actually un-nut) the torque converter from the flexplate. Six of 'em if I recall correctly.

Funny. "Fried" back in the day meant that you were tripping or had tripped on acid (LSD). .. waitaminute......that's no way to work on a Dent, boy!!!!

just did that about a month or so ago. also when you get the nuts off and get it apart. be cautious i didnt even think about it but when you take off the torque converter it will be heavy and full of tranny fluid. and it will make a huge a$$ mess. just a word of caution is all.
