Is your motor pointing to the driver side or the passenger side ????? Mine is mounted on the bracket pointing toward the driver side. This is the only other thing i can try . So yall go out to the shop and stick your head under the dash and run back in and let me know. PLEASE
Hey Dale. When I took my 50 apart about a month ago, I'm almost certain that the motor on that old electric wiper motor was pointing toward the passenger side.

Thanks DOC !!! I'm hoping if i turn the motor that way it will make the driver wiper go as far as the passenger side and the passenger side do what the drivers side is doing now. If it will mount that way !!!! I cound live with that !!!
That my friend I couldn't tell you. I just can't remember. But I'm sure somebody will chime in and either correct me or help you out further. Stuff like that drives me crazy. I feel your pain.
I have a kit from Speedway. The motor is on the firewall side of a plate with the arm sticking out towards the driver/rider. The arm is facing the driver's side angled slightly up.
I remeber having trouble installing this kit until I reallized (by reading the instructions) that you were to drill out the rivits and bolt through the newly established holes. Just unbolting the vacuum unit enabled me to get some bolts in but there was binding issues in operation. The wires of course didn't reach the origional hole but the switch fits perfecly in the hole next to the ignition where the choke or throttle was.
