Dunno if this has been posted before, but I came across this while browsing youtube and thought Id share. The youtube username looks familar, so hell that IDI may belong to a fellow FTE member for all I know lol

almost looks like the Ford just held his brakes untill the Cummins got tired of spinning and then gave her nuts.

you dont see any brake lights come on the Ford till the end of the video....

I remember watching that video, I love it!
The Ford wasn't on the brakes, the brake lights weren't on. You see them turn on when the pull is over.
I wonder if he's tried it again now that he's sporting a ZF5....

Once the tires start to spin it doesn't matter how much power you have got the guy with traction will drag the other any where he wants. The dodge was going nowhere fast .

I'd think an AT would be able to beat a MT for that reason.

its such a meaningful test that im sure consumer reports will begin using it at any moment....that and they will start drinking during testing.....and going woooooooooooooo! woooooooooooo! woooooooooooo!

It has nothing to do with being a meaningful test, hell for that matter it ain't even a test to begin with, it's just some people's way of settling score and gaining bragging rights. That said I think tug-o-war pulls like that are completely idiotic and the only thing they really accomplish is putting some more wear and tear on the trucks, but to each their own...
