Started my FM 50SUV and 2-1/2" dual tailpipe install yesterday. Spent the better part of the afternoon trying to get everything lined up right so everything clears and looks good. I'm a bit **** about making sure everything looks "just right" even the stuff underneath, so it's taking a little longer than it probably should. I'll post some pictures later today or tomorrow.
Would the pipe kit let you mount the muffler vertically like the stocker, or does it have to mount flat?
I started off with it mounted vertically, but the pipes didn't line up very well, so I had to lay it flat. There is still room to do that, but I had to "tweak" the heat shield for the muffler to gain more clearance.
I also had to fab an "S" pipe to get from the back of the converter to the muffler.
I'll try to get some pics posted tonight or this weekend.
It sounds very nice, a low rumble at idle, and the 18" tips give it a nice "warble". So far I'm pleased with how it turned out.
I haven't driven it yet, but I'll let you know how that goes.
I'm sorry guys, i've been swamped with work and family, I'll try my darndest to get it done tonight. I did find some clips on youtube that sound very close to the same.
