I bought a bronco 2 with a 5 speed thay had had a new flywheel put in and every time you start it it makes one bad grinding noise can any body tell me isn't there a spacer that gose behind the flywheel

Hey Cowboy,
I have the same problem with my 1984 Ford Bronco 2 4x4 we just got from a "mechanic" and he said that it was some spacer for the starter to the flywheel we just had a new starter put in by the "mechanic" before we bought it. He left the spacer out and didn't shimmy the starter so everytime we would mess up or it would die since it is leaking oil we had to get about five friends to help push the bronco and kick it into gear and fire up. We just got it but and it looks like crap but hey it will be sweet when we are done with it. I said it was 85 before but I found out it is an 84 on the title today.
