Update on fix

Since I got so much great help and useful information from this forum, I thought it only proper to give thanks and an update on what I found

Problem was that my Excursion Diesel would die or run terrible when warm and ran well when cold. I made a list from things that I found here for me to look at and repair.

1) Tank removal, update and check for plugged filters.
2) .50 fix for under valve cover connector
3) Fuel high pressure pump valve

I started with number one, removal of the tank. I found that when I took off the tank, the pick up screen was full of ..... I looked up, again, the tank upgrade solution on this site. I pulled apart the mixer and found the other two screens, which were plugged. I did the mixer removal upgrade, put on an external fuel filter and.....It runs great!!!

Thank you all for your help and insight to these great vehicles.
