Getting Hot

I've got an 88 Bronco, 302. Recently the temperature guage acted strangely. It was usually between the N and O, but would then suddenly rise to the L or higher. I noticed a leak in the radiator, I think the seal had broken between the core and the side tanks. Had the radiator replaced. It was fine for a few days and now has started again. No leaks from the new Modine radiator. I think the temperature sensor is ok too. Any ideas?

I know you said there are no leaks, but have you verified the coolant level. I have had a couple instances when trying to refill the radiator, an air bubble in the system will make it look like it's full until it finally gets worked back through into the radiator. Also, could be the thermostat sticking.

Either test the sender to be sure, or just replace it - I don't think they're even $10. See if you can get a LLT warranty so you can swap it again when you feel like it.
