ball joint replacement kits

Going to be replacing ball joints soon and am looking for parts kits. Found these two.

Super Duty F250 F350 4x4 Complete Ball Joint Kit 1999 2004 - Ford Super Duty Parts

and

www.partsguyed.com

Any recommendations?

Thanks,
Rob

Thanks for the reply... But I thought the Moog ball joints were a better brand.

The Kit

If you have ESOF, I would highly recomend Ed's kit, it has all the seals and O-rings, and the new joints have zerks for greasing as well. I have this in my rig now, for 16 months or so, all is perfect. One thing you will need is 90 degree zerks for the uppers, my kit came with straights, and I dont see how on earth they could be greased without a partial teardown.

I am trying to save you guys some money here, it is still cheaper to get this stuff seperate than buyint the over priced kit. Here is everything you need but the ball joints. I was gonna get from here but found that I could get the stuff cheaper off ebay.

Replacement O-rings for Ford Diesel Engines

Then just buy the xrf's or the moogs by themselves.

OK! I'm not necessarily completly off topic but it's time to say enough is enough.

Buying cheap (and I mean cheap not just inexpensive) crap from China and other third world countries is ruining ours.

Buy good quality parts made in the USA! Sure it may cost you 10%-20% more but at least you are paying that little extra towards good wage jobs right here in at home.

In the past month a local mill closed. They produced paper products and could no longer compete with the price of raw materials that China was willing to pay for the wood chips they needed. China was willing to pay any price for the raw materials because their government subsidizes the paper that they turn around and sell back to us at market price. This information comes to me from a co-worker who's wife lost her job of over 20 years.

Yes...agreed. I try and stay away from china made crap! It's cheap for a reason. My intention with this thread was to find out which of these kits to go with and to see if there are any others out there. I like the idea of buying a kit so that I don't have to worry about sourcing everything and pay separate shipping charges... etc.

You guys are making this wayyyyyy harder than you need to. You can just about buy everything you need to from here and say some money over getting the so called kit.

Replacement O-rings for Ford Diesel Engines

Then just buy your moog or what not. There is nothing wrong with moog I just liked what I heard about xrf's. You will be money ahead getting your stuff from diesel orings trust me, pay one shipping and be done.

Here is everything you need on one page minus the ball joints themselves.

I actually ordered mine from ford super duty parts and my uncle got his o-rings from dieselorings and bought the Moog joints from the parts house. I came out $53 cheaper than he did with this kit Super Duty F250 F350 4x4 Complete Ball Joint Kit 1999 2004 and I had it in two days. But what I need now is a leveling kit and I was curious if anyone has any info on this kit 3" MAXX-LIFT KIT LB1999-2004 F250/F350 4x4 TRUCKS

I know I don't want a shackle kit. I put one of those on and it pushed my springs down in the back but didn't give up much lift at all. So I was hoping one of these short leaf kits would work well without having to replace my entire springs. Any help would be appreciated.
