e4od woes
flulid I pulled the wiring harness off the trans to check for any bad wiring
or connections that could be causing my problem. What I found was the
wiring out of the plug on the rear pass. side of the truck was striped about an inch up the wiring harness. To make a long story short I cut off the damaged wiring and plug, got another plug off a junker that the plug,
wiring colors, pin possition, and so on all match. I used regular butt conn.
to reconnect the wiring and taped it all up neatly and put it back in the
truck. I did not change the fluid at this time. Dont want to add to many
variables at one time. Now the truck starts and idles fine but when you
give it gas in neutral or park it acts like it is banging out and bogs bad. The OD light is blinking and the truck is very hard to get moving. Once it is
moving it shifts fine and the TC works properly. Sorry for the long post this is really annoying the fire outa me and I really miss my truck. Any
insight is greatly appreciated in advance.
trans for any water or anything else that might cause a problem. What I
found was that the plug I replaced the bad one with did not have the clip
on it any more and that the plug was in backwards. Start the truck, no limp mode, no OD light blinking, and no trouble codes what-so-ever. Really glad this helped. Really POed that I didnt pay close enough attention. Guess I have gotten to used to one way plugs.
