Hello! I'm looking to see if there is going to be any problem or certain things I should look for in this scenerio.
My '52 F-1 Has a 302 with a C-6 transmission. I looked up the VIN on the motor and it is from '79 econoline. With that in mind I need to replace the transmission in it and I found one but need to know if it will work. The Trans I found is a 69-76 C-6 trans and it is for a 2WD like my truck. the picture of it looks exactly like the one I have but my concern is the year gap and if I would run in to an issue with the teeth that meet up with the engine. The trans I'm looking at is noted to be for a 302 and possibly a 351 windsor. I just would like some feedback or maybe point me in a direction to get the info to whether this trans will work on my motor or not!
Depends on what engine the one you are looking at is hooked to.
If it is an I6, 289, 302, 351W, 351C it should work. It it is behind one of the other Ford engines, it is not going to work.
