Two things
One, does anyone know of a radar scanner that has all the buttons on the front like this one? I'm thinking of replacing the one that's currently in there as it doesn't even tell me about the nearby automatic supermarket doors that are nearby. Or, do they make a police scanner that small? I like to hear about the things that go on in my area that I don't see.
Two, does anybody know if this monstros of a thing came stock with trucks? My truck has had a Show Trucks USA conversion of sorts done to and I'm slowly trying to figure out what was actually done to it.

If you find out anything about that conversion company let me know, lol I have been searching for 2 years off and on and found nothing.
I can tell you if its the same as mine (looks like it) its a valentine 1 radar detector.
LOW end V1 units sell for $300. I would stick with that "stock" unit. And, do what I do... only use it for freeway trips. lol
I have not looked into pulling the console, but I think there are remote sensors somewhere on the truck.

Sticking with the stock one doesn't do anything. It beeps every second and I've driven by cops that sit on the side of the road where I can see them pointing their gun and my radar detector doesn't do anything, it just keeps beeping. Which is why I want to change it. I've seen the sensor.
