I have a 2000 expy EB. 219000+ miles and had just about every problem on this board, but I still love it. I have been having GEM problems due to a leak in the windshield. That I have just about squared away. (I found that if I pulled fuse # 15 when it rains the battery won't go dead, but you have to replace it after you start it or you cannot shift out of park, and if it doesn't start but the battery is ok, I pull fuse #6 and it will fire right up...Just in case others are having these problems) Anyway...I resealed the windshield finally, and was playing with the fuses trying to get my radio to come on, I had the engine running, and found that if I pull fuse # 30 the engine shut off but the radio came on, I put the fuse back in the radio goes out but I can restart the engine... Any Help would be appreciated.
Fuse #30 is for the ASD relay, COPs, instrument cluster, and the anti-theft system. Not a good fuse to pull when the engine is running.
First make sure the fuse isn't blown, or that another fuse didn't blow due to #30 being pulled out. If all fuses check out good, I would try disconnecting the battery for 10-15 minutes to clear out all on-board electronic memories, then reconnect it and see if all is well.
