what is this?

What in the world is this? Its tied into the interior harness, and its got 2 places to plug something into it. One of them has something pluged into it as you can see.

Also looks like the plug that goes on the windshield washer switch for the washer fluid pump.

i'm going with 4 way flasher or turn signal flasher... they are seperate so there should be another one...

That's the socket for either the turn signal flasher or the hazard light flasher.

Yep just had to replace one if mine about a month ago. There is a flasher relay ( I think they are relays not sure) that plugs into it, looks like a small silver can that plugs into it.
