My 2000 F250 SD with tan Lariat trim is holding up well, with the exception of the tan leather steering wheel. From about the 11 o'clock to 2 o'clock position, the leather has become worn and badly discolored.
I am not a big fan of the slip-over covers at the auto-parts store. I'm considering something like one of those steering wheel wood kits that cover the top and bottom portions of your wheel, but I do NOT want something that looks cheap, ill-fitted or mis-matched to my Lariat "wood" in the doors.
Anyone have any advice on where I should go for a good wood kit for my wheel that will look 'factory'?
I have a 94 Ford Explorer with a tan leather interior and steering wheel...mine was worn and badly discolored and nothing was available to remedy this.... In order to match and remain as original as possible...I simply ordered a original matching replacement from the Dealer....good luck !
If it is still under warranty, you might try and have Ford replace it. I had mine on my Explorer become worn and loose after 2 years, and they put a new one on for me under warranty. You never know...
The American Stitches site looks great.
Has anyone used them or gotten pricing?
I have the some 10 to 2 problem on my 99 EB Expy and would love to try one of the rosewood/leather combos.
