So I'm cutting up and scrapping my 91 bronco and one thing I want to keep is the windshield. Well on older trucks you just cut the gasket and lift the windshield out but on this thing it's glued in. I cut it out of the truck so I could get it out of the way
but now I'm wondering how do I get the windshield unglued from the steel?
There is a tool for cutting it out. Harbor Frieght has it, but I don't know the quality.
The tool is a handle with a blade on the end, it also has a short legnth of cable with a tee handle on the end. You just insert the blade into the adhesive and hold the handle, pulling the tee handle along, til you're done.
Unfortunatly you're going to have a hard time holding onto the windshield now, better con your buddy into holding it, while you use the tool.
dont buy that tool it will crack the glass get small picture frame wire and use it like a saw take your time but your gonna need to lock the thing down know so you can work on it
the adhesive is a urathane you might even be able to use a razor knife and just cut around it many times
