Christmas, presents, and children.

ok, i am 20 years old. i am a great-uncle to a newborn boy, Jordan Micheal ( i wanted to find a micheal jordan jersy for him )

sounds weird doesnt it? a 20 year old uncle.... well, my *youngest* brother is 30 years old. my niece who had the boy is 18 years old.

i have 3 nephews, 2 nieces, a great nephew, and 2 more on the way. we dont know whether they are boys or girls yet, just know that the bread is in the basket

my family isnt religious, so Christmas has always been a family get together/sharing and nothing more. but its killing everyone to buy presents for every kid, AND the adults.

i mentioned this year we should just GO ALL OUT. *for the kids* the adults get a card, and the kids get those little 120 c.c. 4- wheelers and dirtbikes!! or whatever they want

anyone else do this in their family?

Christmas, presents, and children.

Being an Uncle to 7 nieces and nephews and Called Uncle by at 12 more children.

Regarding the blood 7 :
My rule was get then a gift until they turn 13.
They would receive $25.00 until they turned 18.
I requested they tell me what they spent the money on if they saved it for something special.

Then that's it <> it's over

Re: the other 12 children that all me Uncle.

They would receive something if I visited at Christmas or their BD.
It wasn't much but it's something useful.

Since most of these children are in homes where their needs are met. I didn't spoil them, I just tried to let them know they were thought of.

For gifts for my immediate family, I make a gift certificate for a "Pizza of their choice".

I like to think that I give to people everyday of the year "in the Spirit of Christmas"
