Ford put them in the F150 in '88 only. 250's and 350's all other years from '88 on with the 4.9 & 5.8. From 87 on with the 460's and diesels. http://www.zf-group.com/pdf/lightTru...sion_Chart.pdf

1987 on up zf-542 5 speed were put with f-150-f350 combos and they go like 6.9 and 460 had same bellhouseing but the diesel has a adapter plate and the 300 302 and the 251 all have the same case to it but the zf 5 speed from a 2 wheel drive wont work in a four wheel drive with out changing the rear half of the transmission
