Holley manual choke return problem?
I just rebuilt my holley 4160 carb and all went fine until i went put the manual choke back on. The carb cam with a manual choke, its not a conversion. Anyway, i was just wondering if this was normal or not. The choke has a preference of being closed it seems. I have not reinstalled the carb on my truck yet, but testing the choke lever by hand the following happens. If I move the lever to anywhere between the full closed and full open detents, the spring on the choke lever mechanism will push the choke to the closed position. Is this normal? I called holley tech, they said it was but it just doesn't seem right to me. I would have to overcome the force of the spring with the **** in my truck to turn the choke off......please help i feel like its wrong but let me know!!!
