[quote=Matts72;10127166]I would absolutely love for you to make an attempt to explain this and exactly what it means.

The only thing I misunderstand is exactly how much gasoline you have to huff to come up with a compilation of thought processes that would make anybody think an engine could become magnetized in opposition to the earth. quote]
Explain what? b : a body having the property of attracting iron ? Surely you dont mean that but if so- put a piece of metal up to a magnet and it will explain it for you.
Or do you mean why is his engine a magnet? If so I have no idea never seen or heard of it before.

I think this was just his clever way of getting someone to tell him how magnets work, and it worked. Good job, sir!

magnets are a miracle. So are giraffes. If you look at a baby elephant and you dont' think its a miracle, I feel sorry for you.

Well, I was changing the valve covers on my truck the other night and the bolts I took out were magnetized. Or maybe it was static... like rubbing a balloon on your shirt and the static electricity binds it to something.

I must say this has been really entertaining. This all started because my screw driver would stick to the distributor shaft and not any other metal objects away from the vehicle.
