Transmission Help

Ive recently rebuilt a hyd roller 302 for my 85 f-150, i took it out yesterday and the transmission started spewing fluid from every opening and wont shift into 3rd. Its got a c6, Im trying to decide whether to rebuild the c6 and add a stall converter or find something better from a junkyard. If I had my way Id swap in a tremec tko but for now i just need something affordable. Should I be looking for an AOD tranny or stick with the c6. Any info or suggestions would be great, thanks.

Where is it leaking from? If it's around the bellhousing area and you had problems getting it lined up with the engine, you may have ruined the front pump.

Yes, it seemed to be coming mostly from around the bellhousing. I didn't really have any trouble lining it up but that sounds plausible. Ive never opened a transmission, can the front pump be rebuilt or replaced?

Umm I'm not sure if the older trans have rebuildable front pumps I'm sure they do but I would check a parts store and see if they have rebuilds for it, I know for sure you can rebuild front pumps now days.
