well, got my 54/78 chip on friday, installed it yesterday and WOW! Truly makes it feel like a completely new truck. Easy install and awesome improvement. Just one question... occasionally when i am in the 78hp mode and really step on it the "service engine soon" light comes on. I looked in the manual for what this ment, and it basically said that there could be an emmision control failure. Has the happened to anyone else? Is there a problem or is the emmision crap just that sensitive? thanks

That will happen occasionally with most any higher HP tune. It means the turbo boost is higher than the factory pre-set range.

There are some easy solutions out there for this. There is a nifty replacement MAP sensor line with a pop-off valve and sensor port built right into it. As I understand it, the pop-off will prevent you from getting this trouble code.
