There have been various comments throughout the forum from those who either like or dislike the blonde wood dash accents in the 2011 F-150 Lariat. I am in the latter category. But I like the rest of the truck so I've ordered one.
This thread is for discussions on after-market dash kits. I find many from a web search, and they look nice and reasonably priced. But I haven't found many unbiased (not on the vendors website) comments on them.
Has anyone purchased and installed one of these in a 2011 F-150?
I thought the same things when I saw the wood on line and even at a glance through the window, but I have to say, after sitting and driving in it, the light wood grows on you fast. For me it did anyway. It provides a nice accent for the dark interior. I think the darker wood looks good too and at first I was pretty ticked when I saw that light wood was going to be the only option, but i seem to find myself liking it now. Anyway, might just want to wait and see what you think once you get it, because I was of the same opinion you are before I got the truck
I was at a dealership today looking at 150's and commented to the salesman about the blonde wood accents. I'm not a big fan of it but i suppose I might grow to like it. It's just a stark contast when coupled with the dark dash. I wonder how a dask kit would look?
