Brake controller

Evening,

I now have 290,500km on my 2001 F250 5.4 v8 SD

I have a fw questions that are not quite related to super dutys but if anybody could answer a few questions I have about my brake controller and trailer.

I have pulled tandem trailers with 7 way connectors before, and my brake controller light reconized the connectivity. The controller I have is a max 2 axle and the trailer I am now pulling is a Model 66 with the master cylinder built into the tounge, my brake controller light does not turn on indicating a connection but all lights work etc. Could someone explain this? I greatly appreciate it.

Thanks
-matt

Your model 66 trailor must have surge brakes on it meaning it doesnt use your electric brake controler in the cab it uses a hydraulic cylinder on the trailor tongue to apply the brakes. Your electric controler will not show a conection because there isnt one.
