I have a 1994.5 Ford F250 with the 7.3 trubo and 5sp. When looking at the ttruck from the front, the tires look like this /-\ with negative camber. Is this due to worn out leaf springs? or bushings? My leaf springs have a negative arch and the truck is raked (I know this is normal though)
These trucks tend to do that especially if you backup and stop, but if the front tires are still tilted in after pulling forward that is a sign the springs are sacked, so your options are add-a-leaf or new springs.
Paul my 1990 F150 Extended cab has the same problem All the time I know it needs Tie-Rods but would that resolve it or would the springs also need replacing the truck in question you've already helped me out extensively with it's the 2wd with 300 sorry for adding my question but it's the same exact question but in 2wd Form
^^ I believe tie rods will only help you with toe in or out, but not the camber issue you state having.
Another question: I noticed there is some play in the steering wheel, I would say holding a finger on the top of the steering wheel, I can roll it over about 2 inches before there is a direction change. Is this something I can adjust? or would I need a new steering box?
