well if you ever wanted to add a cam to your engine to give it more power for pulling... you'd quickly realize the limited options you have with SD and the plethora of options a MAF truck has...
If I had MAF, my 351w would be making tons more power than your 6.9idi right now... LOL!
My 88 was already making 40 MORE HP than your IDI and only 10 lb/ft of tq behind you... Heck even without MAF I'm sure a set of long tubes would make the 6.9 and 5.8 even up!
You add a better SD cam and you're already eating my dust!
That's why I love my IDI camper. Gets excellent mpg, may be slow in the hills, but it's never let me down, and tune ups are as cheap to do as on any gas engine!
