Well it happened today. At 344pm, Queen's Fat Bottom Girls playing on the radio.... 100,000 miles... Warranty is gone... Gosh, only 2 and a half more years of payments and she's all mine!
I remember when my old '89 F150 (300 six) "rolled" 100K... back when they weren't digital and just started counting over. With the odometer at 00000.0, I pulled over and took a pic of the dash. It was just like the truck was new again! Then, I drove it 98,000 more miles and was just about to the point when it would be all 0's again and I hit bambi's daddy and totaled the truck. Darn.
Thanks for the kind words. I've thought about the spark plugs. I don't know if I even want to go there. The engine was replaced with a FQR at 44k and I don't know if Ford used the old plugs or not. So in reality, the engine only has 56k miles while the rest of the truck, including tranny, has 100,000. I'm thinking shocks(still stock) & rearend oil. I bought a 97 Ranger 4cyl that I'll be driving most of the time so the thirsty Superduty can rest in it's old age..
