Well I did it again, I sold my truck . She served us well and now I am moving on to a smaller truck. I didn't need a giant F250 anymore since I had sold the toyhauler and now have nothing to pull. I am in the market for an 04-06 F150 4x4 to replace her. The last picture of the truck I have is my daughter with a sad face as it we were delivering her to the new owner. My girl was upset because she had never driven it and looking forward to it when she got her permit. I let her back it out of the driveway and park it in the street to get ready to go. I will miss this truck, but I'm looking forward to a little newer and smaller. You never know though I may get another 7.3!
Good luck Jorge, I'm sure we'll see you again when you get another 7.3, lol.... Just messin with yaa.. Pop in and say hello now and then and post up some pics of your newer ride, take care..
People are dropping like flies from the 7.3 section. I plan on keeping mine until the wheels fall off..lol.. Good luck with your new truck. Make sure it's not one of the f150's that blows spark plugs.

I'm with you Grant, I'm keeping her for a long time.
My buddy has an 05 F150 5.4...dealer wants $700 to change out the two piece spark plugs.....
Good luck Jorge, hate to se another go! I can agree with you decision easily though, if I didn't have something big to tow, I don't think I could justify the bigger truck, hard decisions, real hard I am sure.
I know where you're coming from. All my big boy pull toys are gone. I will have to make a decision myself in a couple of years.
To be or not to be 7.3.
Drop by once in a awhile to let us know how you're doing.
I went from a 2003 f150 to a 2006 6.0. I got rid of both. The 6.0 I did not have piece of mind. Now I'm in my 2000 7.3. I think switching trucks every few year is a waste of money, but if you have the cash go for it. As I got older I realized I was throwing away money. I wish my Dad would of given me that lecture...lol.
I think it all boils down to our own personal situation. I have bought new in the past to fit the need, and used to fit the need. As it stood when I bought my 7.3 just about 2 years ago, it was the 3rd rig, I needed something to pull the horses and hay, and be a reliable backup when primary dd's were down. I looked at new, 60k !!!! I didnt need a second mortgage, so I looked for what I could do maint on, and not kill my kids odds at college on. I could buy 5 7.3's for the price of one new 6.8 at that point, so hear I am.
Looking further into it with the economy taking a crap about the time I was buying mine, it makes more sense now. But looking at current fuel trends, no way in he!! I would want this as my dd unless I needed it. its a tough world right now, wea all gotta do what we gotta do!
That said, say a quick prayer or have a thought for those folks in Japan right now, I know they have been the US auto industries down fall the last 30 years, but they are people and allies like us all.
