TBC open ground warning

I have a Tekonsha P3 connected to the truck in sig. Every now and then I am getting a message "Warning! Open Ground". I haven't had trailer hooked up when the message popped up so it hasn't been a big deal but I have a long towing trip coming up. Where is the TBC grounded at? Anything else to look for?

Clean the connector off.

This is just on the TBC screen with no trailer connected. It's sensing some kind of ground issue.

Yes, if you have nothing connected, then something else is causing the current to flow. So, you need to clean off the connector.
