If you have the original window sticker from a Job 1 (2, etc) build, it will be listed on there. Other than that, I don't know.
The Job 1 build is the first group of vehicles built with full production parts and processes. Job 1 vehicles go through rigorous quality checks after they are off the assembly line to verify everything in the build process is working as designed. A Job 2 build will happen if something major changes in the assembly process. There are very few Job 1 vehicles, and even fewer Job 2, 3, etc.
Job 1 builds usually get observed by VIPs and supplier reps. I've been to a Job 1 Mustang build. Can't swing a dead cat without hitting a Ford executive.
Job 1 trucks were built Jan 07 to July 07. Job 2 were July 07 to Jan 08. Job 3's are built all year of 08. I might be off by a month or 2 here and there, but you get the picture. There were some minor programming changes and /or option changes that distinguishes them from the other/previous job#.
so they mentioned a window sticker where would that be located?
this is the sticker on the window when you bought the vehicle new. If you don't have it, sometimes you can print it here, by adding your vin number to the request.
"https:/services.forddirect.fordvehicles.com/inventory/WindowSticker.pdf?vin="
(you have to cut & paste that into the browser address line, remove the quotes, and add your vin to the end)
Just looked at the sticker on my door post and it says 04/07. Reckon I'm a Job 1. I'll try the sticker website request thingy too - it'd be kinda cool to see the original sticker.
Thanks!
