That's a common swap some have done. There is just no love for the 87-91 Brick Nose Trucks...
In fact here's a link to a thread: 87-91 being back converted to a 80-86 style...
Not that it helps it just reinforces the fact people don't like the 87-91 years.
I love my bricknoses. My idi just needs new panels to look nice again. My plow tuck looks mean. The bricknoses still look like the 80s trucks they come from. Not like the 92+. I like them all to be honest.
I don't mind the brick nose on my '90 F250, I'd just like to one day update the interior to the '92 style dash, everything is easier to reach on those interiors.
They're are exceptions.... the ones with the primer color silver grill lol
Thumper doesn't look to bad cause it's 4x4 and sits higher. 2wd's with that front clip looks weird to me.
It's like my 90 F250 4x4 Diesel vs. my 89 F150 2wd. Both are Customs, but with full chrome front end, but I find them sooooooo different. The F150 just doesn't have that nice big built, mean look the F250 has.
Heres an eye turning with a silver grill this thing just SCREAM BEAST
I shouldn't talk though, i'm interested in buying a '87 F150 2wd Custom that has the black grill. Just poped up for sell. Gotta go see it this weekend if I have the time.
i like all 3 of the 80-96 gen trucks, hell i have owned them all as well! i do prefer the chrome 87-91 over the custom bland and ugly. i have to say a 87-91 style cant take a good hit and not need everything up front replaced! (dont ask) my 80 bronco and my 96 f150 have held together alot better than my 91 f150 did.
Front clip f250 powerstroke 4x4 94 to 1983 F350 4x2 crew cab
Have a old F350 crewcab 4x2 with an 350 motor,
thinking that I would like to do som mods with it.
the car is an old airforce truck and doesn’t have any 4x4, so started to think if would be doable to make a front clip swap from a donor truck(1994 F250 4x4 power stroke)
and at the same time get the suspension a makeover.
does anybody have any info if it’s a doable and if some one knows a good site that sells suspension and aftermarket parts for the 350(lift kits/upgrades that kind of stuff)

Fyi this thread is 8yrs old lol...
So what exactly do you mean by suspension makeover?
If staying with 2x4 then I can't really comment on upgrades...
Unless you have extreme plans for suspension where everything will be aftermarket/custom and you desire to build a truck to your liking... then in my humble opinion you might be better off buying a truck that has the 92 to 98 front clip and 4x4 already installed.
As far as the front clip its been discussed plenty...
Suspension is a subject that is deep in different options, design and costs.
