HELP-Differential

I just crawled under my F350 V10 4X4 to change the differential fluids and noticed there isn't a fill plug in the differential cover. So where is it? Or, do I need to buy an after market cover in order to change the differential fluid and re-fill it with new fluid.

HELP!!

Ford doesn't put a drain plug in their diffs. You have to put the cover off and either reseal it or install an aftermarket.

The lack of a plug drives me nuts, so I'm going to install aftermarket ones when the time comes.

the fill plug is near the rear u-joint on the drivers side,use a 3/8 rachet to remove it. the front diff cover has the fill plug in the cover.

Thanks Guys,

I found it. Older differentials used to have the filler plug on the back. Not so with this one.

I use a hand vacuum pump with a fluid catcher on it to suck out the fluid through the full plug. Just be careful not to lose the hose
