I borrowed a Snap On diagnostic tool and ran both a KOEO and KOER tests. KOEO had no codes. KOER had code 412, can not control idle. I could've told it that!
My question is, Why Not? I've checked out the IAC valve and tryed substituting another one but no joy. There is 12.8v present at the IAC with the key on.
Has anyone had a similar problem? Does the PCM use anything else to control the idle?
OK, I've tried both of those ideas but no joy. I could raise the idle up but put it in drive and it will still get dangerously low (400rpm) or stall. The intake manifold is completely clear.
Also when I start from hot now it's misfiring for a minute or so.
The diagnostic tester is still coming up with code 412.
