Squirrel Attack!

Hello Folks,
I'm looking for some information on Vacuum hoses for a 2006 F150 XLT with a 5.4 Triton V8. I'm not real good with engines so I'll try to be as specific as I can with the description. I've been attacked by squirrels! They chewed the insulation off some of my battery cables, but not through wires, so I was able to repair them. However they also chewed through 2 rubber vacuum lines. I've temporarily repaired them with some clear tubing then insulated them with silicone tape and foam pipe insulation. I'm looking for some sort of diagram or picture to tell me exactly what those hoses are so I can order new ones. One hose comes off a device attached to the firewall almost directly above where the steering column comes through and the other hose comes up from behind the air cleaner and goes into a smaller hose or line that goes behind the battery. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
John

Dont know where live, but we used to do a lot of squirrel hunting. Delicious in the frying pan, better than chicken. How do you know they wont be back after you repair your truck? We preferred a .22 over a shotgun. Darn pellets turn up everywhere in the meat.

Never mind. I got the hoses off and took them to a local auto parts store. Found compatible hoses and installed them. Now I gotta get rid of the squirrels so it doesn't happen again.

x2 on the .22 solution. Fried or stewed squirrel with home made bisquits and gravy is to die for. (and they will!)

If it helps, I watched a rat snake fight a mother squirrel off and swallow a baby squirrel this afternoon. Way cool.

Thanks 60, for the biscuit/gravy/stewed sq memory. Now I cant get it out of my head, and have to settle for a ham sandwich. And those cottontails were just as good in the frying pan.

While Squirrel stew is a tasty treat I don't recommend eating it anymore because it is one of the worse things for people to eat. Worst then say 10 hot dogs at once. Or so my doctor has told me. Maybe he could be lying but for now I am going with his advice.

But a little target practice and then to the can never hurt the squirrel population that much I can tell you. Or if you are against killing the animals then hit up your local hardware store they should have some squirrel traps and then you just catch them and move them to another location away from you and your truck.
