6-Volt LED Tail Light Questions
I am trying to convert from standard 6-volt bulbs in my tail lights to LED. The more the better. I need them to work as tail, blinker and brake lights. Has anybody done this? Is there a supplier that makes these? Also, is there a problem with the flasher not working because the current draw is so low? Thanks, Jag

One place to get bulbs is 1156 & 1157 LED bulb Specifications. They have a few specifications to look at. You will need a 6V LED specific flasher. I Googled for 6V LED turn signal flasher and the first easily found one was this: Yamaha YSR-50 and Hot Rod 6-volt turn signal relay - LED and Standard

You will need an electronic flasher for your LED's. I added a series of LED's in my rear lights mounted on a piece of inslating materiel and formed them in a "V" shape for turn signals. With the 6 volt system you could probably series 6 LED's together without using a resistor, you want to keep the current on the high side to make sure they are bright, if they are turn signals it is not a problem as they get limited use. Not hard to make and there is lots of info on the net for LED's.
