6.0 / V10 Trans cooler

Alright, went out, looking under my truck, 6sp, to find the culprit with the swaybar bushings and linkage arms, while i was under there, i notice that my trans cooler lines go to the bottom of the radiator. I started looking around, and nowhere do i see the stock trans cooler? Does the 6sp (L99) come with them or dont they, and if not, think it would be a good time to thru SOMETHING under it, right...again, thank you much.

I didn't know the 6spd had a cooler at all. Do you have a temp gauge on it. And do you tow heavy. I don't see know need if your not towing heavy and temps aren't up. Thanks for the input, I like to see who else chimes in and there set up. Maybe Dan mit chime in. He's got a 550 and tows heavy with his 5ther.

6spds don't generate the heat that autos do. I don't believe they have coolers. I know lighter duty cars and trucks don't have coolers. None of my mustangs ever did, all five speeds and the cobra was a six speed.

alright...just was shocked when i didnt see anything, considering i see the 6.0 or stock ones in alot of threads. So if i wanted to install one, i guess just put a fitting off the return from the radiator, then take a line to the external one, then from there, back to the hardline for the return...? Just not sure if i want to mount it in front of the condensor or under the IC.

6 speed transmissions do indeed have a cooler
my e99 also has a transmission cooler in the rad... also known as oil to water cooler
the oil to water cooler is more efficient than the oil to air the autos have but you can run bo9th
