what the hell lol it keeps blowing and won't start because of that (obviously...) so.... anyone know of any common short-points or anything or the sort?
thanks for any and all help!
P.S. its been awhile... haha
If it's fuse #22 check the fuel filter heater. If the heater shorts out internally inside the canister then unplug it, second connection down on drivers side and replace the fuse.
no i haven't dug into it yet, it just happened yesterday and i haven't had a chance yet... i just wanted some leads before i go under the hood... note: i'm not a master electrician... but my dad is, he's owned his own electrical contracting business for ~15 years now... so if he's around then he'll be able to help me find it really quickly
there is actually a thread recently posted that shows where the fuel bowl heater wires are located. ill get u the url
i know where the fuel bowl heater wires are under the truck, but thanks anyway.. i'm pretty experienced with these trucks but like i said, no master electrician... i used to be a regular on this site... years ago... haha
i didn't realize that the fuel bowl heater would lead into fuse 22 (the one that's blown)... i'll grab another fuse tomorrow and unplug the fuel bowl heater
the connector is completely stuck haha it WILL NOT come off...... so i'm thinking about just cutting the wire going to it and wrapping it with electrical tape, what do you guys think?
Sure, only come back when somethign breaks.
Can't hang out with your friends anymore.:P
It comes off hard buddy. its a pain to get off.
Cutting it works too.
haha don't worry while i'm here at school i'm not on any forums that much... i'll TRY to hang out for awhile this time though
and thanks a bunch, cutting it right now i'll be back in ~10 minutes to report on how it goes!
spent 15 minutes trying different electrical tape rolls we had to see if anything would stick to that oily mess of a wire... ended up just crimping on a whatever ya call it lol won't short out and started up right away! thanks for the help guys!
