Supercab fuel tank question
Hey everyone. I just picked up a '77 F250 Supercab 2wd. The rear tank is gone and the front(side mount) fuel tank is held in by ratchet straps. I went to pick a part and got the straps from a std cab and they are not right at all. So it looks like I will be shopping for some used ones or making my own. Now my question is, are the std cab and supercab fuel tanks the same? Thanks

No. They are different in shape and size. I've got a few illustrations in my manual and are a little hard to see the straps, plus the strapping is different between the SC 138.8" wb and 155". Which will make it difficult on finding the ones you need. I will send you pics if you want them, just let me know.

Well, I found the straps on a 77 Supercab 4x4, but I obviously have the wrong tank. Anyone have one they want to part with? I already have a rear tank lined up...just gotta make time to go get it.
