Ok here it is, a short story long: I loaded up and weighed in California, both empty and full. Drove to Michigan. Unloaded trailer. Moved into house. Relaxed. Started to read through paperwork. The new requirements that weren't needed in the past: I need to weigh empty and full here in Michigan as well. Instead of reloading all my stuff I would rather just borrow some heavy equipment!

What are you trying to accomplish. If you are getting a plate and registration for your trailer all you need is a weight slip from a certified scale showing how much the trailer weighs empty. You do not need anything else.

Yeah, like Rich said, you should only need an empty weight.

That way they know how much you have to go till your overloaded.

Rich and Ron both have experience with this stuff.

Got it done, CC is right, I needed the weight to get paid. I should have been a little more clear!

You had to weigh both in Cali as well as Michigan?

I know when my brother came home, we needed to just weigh here. That was why we stopped by the shop here when he got home

weight and days travel....I think per-diem is about $165 per day. Ill make enough in profit to pay for the trailer I bought, so I'm pretty satisfied with that.
