Idle Question
Well, since I'm new to the V10 engine so I thought I would put this out to the experts.
When I first start my truck (2000 F250 SD CC Auto) the engine starts and runs up to about 1700 RPM's. It hovers there for a second or so and comes down to about 1300 or so. It will stay there until I put it in drive, then it drops to about 1000. Eventually (after a few minutes or miles) it will settle down to about 700 or 800.
Is this normal? I know the idle on this truck is not adjustable but it just seems high. My F150 never got above 1200 or so and settled down very fast. This one seems to take some time.
Any ideas?
